William Gee Terms and Conditions

Payment of Online Orders
Payment is by credit or debit card, or via Paypal. We accept all major credit cards. Despatch of goods is made after payment has been taken.
Prices
Prices apply to online orders only, are ex warehouse and do not include VAT. All prices are subject to alteration without notice.
Delivery Costs
check box Mainland UK Tracked Courier Service: FREE if goods value is over £100 inc vat (otherwise charged at £7.99 inc vat, or £10.99 inc vat if buying heavy goods)
check box Royal Mail Post: £3.50
Note: Customers selecting Royal Mail postage, please be aware that this is an uninsured and untracked service, and is ordered at your own risk. If any such consignments go astray, we will not be able to refund these or offer a replacement. Customers are therefore advised to place orders using our tracked and signed carrier service to avoid any risk of loss.

check box International Orders: International shipping costs vary. Please add your items to your online bag, and shipping costs will get calculated based on weight. Customers wishing to order from countries that are not listed in our checkout (or destinations for shipping), are requested to email us with their requirements to info@williamgee.co.uk. Please note that refunds for returned/ undelivered items will only be issued once returned to our warehouse. Refunds will be made for the goods but not the carriage charges incurred. By purchasing from William Gee Ltd you agree to any additional fees or customs & import costs that may occur during transit or on receipt of your goods. There are certain items we cannot ship abroad – these will be marked as ‘UK shipping only’ in the product descriptions. Additional surcharges may apply for extra parcels.
Please note that where delivery has been attempted, your order will then go into a “hold” for 15 working days, after which the goods will be returned to William Gee. Should goods be returned following an attempted delivery, the costs incurred will be at the expense of the customer. If a shipment is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the costs to get these back to us, and sent out again to you will be at the expense of the customer.

Shipping costs above exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. William Gee Ltd has the right to refuse or cancel any order at the company’s discretion.
Our aim is to dispatch orders received by 2pm UK time on the same working day, stock permitting. We will only part despatch if there is a delivery delay on the balance of the order. 
*This only applies for deliveries to mainland UK, and does not include heavy goods, where shipping costs remain at £8.95 per order.
Please note that this delivery information only applies to orders directly placed at www.williamgee.co.uk. All deliveries are subject to stock availability. We accept no responsibility for non-delivery of orders where the full address, including postal code, is not entered correctly.
No refunds will be made until the returned goods are received. The original payment method will be reimbursed. Please note the parcel is your responsibility until received at William Gee. We cannot refund shipping costs where items were ordered incorrectly. We recommend returning items via a tracked service. Please retain proof of postage (this will be required to claim from the Royal Mail should your parcel get lost).
Shortages, Damaged Goods
If damages or shortages occur the Company should be notified within 3 working days of receipt. Please note that goods may be despatched in more than one parcel. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns for cut goods or without prior notification. Shipping costs are non-refundable. The suitability of a product is deemed to be the customer’s responsibility. Shipping costs are non- refundable unless the goods are faulty.
For any other reason where returns are acceptable this will be done at the total discretion of William Gee Ltd and a handling charge of 15% may be made. Under no circumstances should goods be returned without prior discussion with us, on 020 7254 2451.

Contracts
Customers are requested to apply to the Company for quotations for contracts.
Shipping Protection
Customers get peace of mind when adding shipping protection to their orders. Should any item go missing, get damaged or end up lost or stolen, then we will send out a replacement once contact has been made with us and we have looked into the case. This is highly effective on orders that are placed using Royal Mail postage, which is an unsigned, untracked and uninsured service. If you select “shipping protection” at checkout, and need help in locating your order, please get in touch.
Export Orders
All prices are net ex-warehouse. Freight, insurance, and packing for export is an extra charge of which you will be notified at the time of despatch if you are paying by credit card. No charge will be made to your card without your prior authority. Payment by Pro-Forma invoice is required unless a credit account is already open.
Orders placed by phone/email
All prices are net ex-warehouse. Please note that phone or email orders under £75 ex vat will incur a £5 small order fee.
Currency Conversion Rates
Currency conversions are estimated and should be used for informational purposes only. Please note all payments are only accepted in GBP. William Gee Ltd will not cover extra costs such as international fees, exchange rates or interchange fees.
Colour
Any colours on this site will be affected by the settings of the monitor on which they are viewed and can therefore only be an approximation of the actual textile shade. We make every effort to show the colours on screen as close as possible to the products you will receive. However, we cannot guarantee an exact match as the representations are limited by technology and may vary due to screen and printer settings. If an accurate match is required we request that you send a swatch for matching.
Sewing threads
We cannot guarantee an exact match without a swatch sample being sent in (to William Gee Ltd, 520 Kingsland Road, London E8 4AH) and therefore can only refund our stocked threads (this does not apply to our specially ordered sewing threads). Please note we are not responsible for sending correct thread colours where you have not used the relevant shade card to match up your threads.
Cut goods
Cut items may not be returned.
Privacy Policy
William Gee do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the ‘Remember Me’ option.
