It’s December, it’s starting to feel festive, and the Great British Sewing Bee have announced the line up for this year’s Christmas special!
Judges Esme Young and Patrick Grant are setting the challenges for this year’s celebrities, as they sew a variety of festive projects.
This year they’ll be joined by Sophie Willan, after Sara Pascoe stepped down as host at the end of the last series. Sophie is an actor and comedian, and will present both the Christmas special and the next series of the Bee.

Who’s in the sewing room?
Tackling the Christmas sewing challenges this year are familiar faces Anton Du Beke (from Strictly Come Dancing), Lucy Beaumont (from Celebrity Traitors), Tom Wilson (from Gladiators) and Susan Wokoma (from Taskmaster).
We don’t have any clues about the festive challenges yet, but we’re excited to find out more soon!
Where to watch
We don’t have a date for the episode yet, but it often airs in mid-to-late December on BBC One. Hopefully there’ll be more details soon!

I can’t wait to see what they create this year. Wishing you all a cosy festive season. Happy sewing!
