As we come to the end of the year, all that remains is to thank you for your support and custom throughout 2025.
Festive Opening Hours & Final Orders
Our shop on Forest Road will close early on Wed 24th Dec 2025 & will reopen 10am on Fri 2nd Jan 2026.
Final orders for the year will be despatched on Tues 23rd Dec 2025. During the festive break, online orders can be made but will only be despatched from Fri 2nd Jan 2026.
The biggest news of 2026 year was that- after many years of planning- we finally relocated into our BRAND NEW shop at 2a Forest Road, London E8 3BY. We want to thank our incredible staff who all worked tirelessly to move us across, as well as our loyal customers who have been in to see us – especially when we first opened and everything was, well, everywhere! If you haven’t managed to come in yet, please make sure you do so in the new year – we’d love to see you.
This year, our staff worked tirelessly (I cannot stress that enough) despatching your orders, with over 90% of online tracked orders delivered within 1 working day – so you in turn could continue to operate as smoothly as possible.
There were growing demands for new crafting & sewing products, and we added many new supplies to our range – both online and in-store – and we hope that we can continue to supply fantastic dressmaking products for you in 2026.
New products in 2025 included Cast Iron Cloth Weights, Adjustable Dress Forms, Glass Pattern Weights, Precision Scissors, Automatic Bobbin Winders, Polycotton Webbings, Carbon Black Scissors, Patternmaster Pros, Underlay Paper, The College Kit and Velvet Ribbons, as well as branded products from the likes of Prym, Vilene and Fiskars.
We continued developing our website, making sure all new products are online as quickly as possible, and launched our new sewing school at William Gee. Keep an eye out online and on socials for upcoming workshop dates.
The biggest achievement this year was our continued promise to keep prices down. There were price increases across all industries this year – due to factors outside our control, however we did everything we possibly could to ensure increases were kept to a minimum, whilst not compromising on service. Speaking of which, we managed to keep to a next-day delivery service for 97% of our orders, which we’re extremely proud of!
