The perfect tool for dressmaking!
Have you tried it to temporarily stabilise seams when sewing delicate fabrics? Place the paper on top of the seamline to be sewn, stitch through and gently pull away afterwards.
Prym Dressmakers Tracing paper has many uses – as well as being used to trace pattern pieces and make pattern amendments, it is useful for applique & crafting. This product is ideal for delicate or stretch fabrics where chalking up can easily go pear shaped.
Take the stress out of slipping fabrics by using carbon paper to chalk your fabric. Choose a white or yellow sheet, whichever colour closest matches your fabric. Sandwich your fabric right side up between the carbon sheet and your pattern and glide effortlessly around the pattern with the tracing wheel. The carbon paper will transfer your pattern in small dots causing minimal damage to the fabric. The sheets can be used over and over again, so you have plenty of practice to perfect the sharpest cut. Always ensure to test on a scrap piece first.
If you don’t already have one, a rotary cutter compliments this item perfectly.
